A Public Conversation Project

Race Code Chess is designed as a structured public discussion space where people can examine race, justice, reasoning, identity, power, and civic responsibility through disciplined conversation rather than shouting, confusion, or avoidance.

About Race Code Chess

Race Code Chess began from a simple public engagement model: a table, chairs, signs, and an open invitation for people to stop, think, speak, listen, and test ideas in public.

The project treats discussion like chess: each move should be considered, each claim should be examined, and each participant should be encouraged to think beyond slogans.

The Method

1. Open Invitation

People are invited to take part voluntarily. The aim is not confrontation, but serious public conversation.

2. Structured Questions

Discussion begins with clear questions so that the subject does not become vague, confused, or distorted.

3. Reasoned Exchange

Participants are encouraged to explain their reasoning, identify assumptions, and listen before responding.

Discussion Space

The intended physical model is simple and practical:

A fold-up table, four chairs, clear signs, and a public location where people can pause and speak. Where possible, practical arrangements may be made nearby for storing the table and chairs securely.

This website will support that physical discussion space by providing background material, questions, updates, written reflections, and future public engagement information.
